Guidelines and Rules 

  • Prior to arrival, all parents are to complete the home self-screening using WDG Public Health Unit tool.
  • All children over the age of 4 must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
  • Personal devices such as iPads may be used at the craft table, where Kids Club staff can monitor.
  • All outerwear, backpacks and lunch bags must be hung up on the hooks outside Kids Club.
  • Children may bring snacks and will be provided with a designated spot at a snack table. Children will not be permitted to share food at this time unless they are in the same household. 
  • Due to capacity requirements, the 15 minute grace period policy is not available. Members must book based on an hour increment the actual time their child(ren) will be in  Kids Club.  This will be reviewed as we see demand for the service. 
  • Kids Club cards and pay as you go will be accepted. 


  • All children entering Kids Club be screened at the Front Desk.  Do not bring your child to the Club if they are showing signs and symptoms of COVID-19.
  • HRC has enhanced its cleaning and disinfecting protocols as per WDG Public Health guidance for Summer Camp, Child Care Centers, and Before/After School Programs.
  • The following protocols will be followed to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, parents and staff.  
    • All children will be required to wash hands/use hand sanitizer upon entry into Kids Club. 
    • All high-touch services will be disinfected between each shift.  
    • All toys used will be cleaned and disinfected with soap and water and Oxivir disinfectant at the end of each shift. 
    • HRC staff will wear a medical mask. 
  • Health & Safety Guidelines will continue to be reviewed and revised as necessary.

Age:  Infant to 12 years of age

Capacity:  A maximum of 6 children at one time. 

There is a limit of 6 children + staff in Kids Club at one time. 

How to make a reservation?

Contact our Front Desk via phone or in-person to reserve a time slot for your child(ren). All children must be with an active member or have a guest account. 

Parents can set up a guest account at the Front Desk by completing a Kids Club Info form and signing a club waiver. 


How far in advance to reserve?

Reservations can be made up to 7 days in advance for a 1-3 hour booking. 


Reservation Cancellations

Members may cancel their reservations up to 12 hours in advance.  Within 12 hours of reservation, a cancellation fee of $5 per hour per child will be charged to Member's account. 


Is there a 15 minute grace period?

Unfortunately, due to capacity limitations, we are unable to provide a 15 minute grace period.  Members must drop off and pick up the child(ren) based on time booked.

Kids Club is a high-quality on-site child minding service that provides parents with the opportunity to utilize the club for workouts, programs, and appointments.

    Toys, dress-up chest, crafts, board games and much more! Homework Evenings - Bring your homework and we can all do it together! Don't have homework? We have all kinds of trivia, puzzles and activity sheets for us to practice and play with.
  • Who can participate?
    Infant to 11 years old age. 
  • Do we need to be members?
    Due to COVID-19 and capacity limitation, only Members' children are being provided access to our Kids Club service.

Kids Club Policies

  • Parents must always sign their children in and out of Kids Club.
  • Kids Club is a nut aware room! Please ensure all snacks and drinks are nut free.
  • Kids Club is an hourly service. 
  • Please show proof of payment prior to picking up your child. Please hand in your receipt showing full payment or present your kids club card PRIOR to picking up your child.
  • Kids Club staff have the authority to turn sick children away. Please respect the other children in kids club by keeping your sick child at home. Sickness spreads quickly.
  • Kids Club is a "Hands Off" room. Please ensure your child knows that rough housing, hitting, pushing or other aggressive behaviours will not be tolerated.
  • Kids Club is a bully free zone, hurtful words or actions will not be tolerated.
  • There is a 3 hour maximum limit for each child in kids club.
  • Parents must remain at HRC at all times when their child is in Kids Club.
  • All supplies required by the child (snacks, drinks, diapers, wipes, etc.) are the responsibility of the parent. Please bring all supplies each visit.
  • Kids Club staff will contact the parent if necessary during the child's visit to Kids Club.
