WELCOME BACK, MEMBERS! 

PROOF OF VACCINE REQUIREMENTS

 

All members, guests, and spectators who access the Club's services are required to be fully vaccinated and show proof at the Front Desk.  Member accounts will be updated to record proof has been shown and members will not be required to show proof each time.  All guests will be required to show proof each visit. Clients accessing CoreRestore Physio and Spa Zone are not required to show proof to access those settings. 

 

As of December 20, 2021, all youth 12-17 years of age will be required to be fully vaccinated to participate in organized sport and access the club. 

 

As of January 4, 2022, all members, guests, and spectators will be required to present a vaccine certificate with a QR code (on a device or printed) so it can be checked using the Verify Ontario app.  Member accounts will be updated and the proof will not be required to be provided each visit. 

 

As of Jan. 10th, 2022, all members, guests, and spectators with a medical exemption will be required to present a QR code to enter the Club (physician notes will no longer be accepted).

Main Gym Area

To adhere to social distancing restrictions certain pieces of equipment will temporarily be unavailable until further notice.

MEMBER SAFETY ETIQUETTE 

It is the responsibility of all members and staff to comply with the safety etiquette policy that has been implemented: 

  • Members are required to wear a face-covering at all times in the gym except when in the act of exercising.
  • Members are required to wipe down equipment before and after use with the Oxivir Plus disinfectant spray bottles and paper towel provided throughout the gym. 

Are Masks Required?

Face masks/covering are required in all areas of the club except when in the act of exercising. Members and guests must wear a face covering when moving in between equipment and in between sets. 

It is strongly recommended to bring something to store your mask while in the gym (i.e. brown paper lunch bag, sandwich bag, Tupperware container etc.)

Group Fitness and Rev Classes

Group Fitness classes have been modified to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all members.  Members should expect reduced class options and class sizes that will support social distancing and contact tracing measures. 

Individual workout spots will be marked and members must stay within their designated spot. 

STEP #1: SIGN UP PROCESS 

All members must sign up for all group fitness classes via HRConline or by calling the Front Desk.

STEP #2: CHECK-IN PROCESS

Members are to arrive only 10 minutes prior to the start of their scheduled classes. Late arrivals will NOT be allowed entry into the class.  

Members will check-in at the Front Desk and will proceed to their class.  In class sign-in sheets are no longer required. 

STEP #3: DURING & AFTER CLASS 

Staff will set up all class equipment in designated spots at the beginning of each class in order to ensure social distancing is adhered to. 

At the end of the class members will leave equipment and exit the studio immediately with the workout spots closest to the door exiting first. 

Staff will clean and disinfect equipment and set-up for the next class.

Personal Training

Personal Training services will be available upon reopening.  The following guidelines have been created to ensure we reduce the potential for contact between Client and Trainer. 

  • Personal Training Sessions will continue to be booked by your Personal Trainer
  • There will be no personal contact and physical distancing will be observed.
  • Clients will handle their own weights and equipment.  Personal Trainers will modify workouts so as not to require spotting
  • Personal Trainers will wear masks at all times, and gloves will be available. 
  • All equipment used will be cleaned before and after use by the Personal Trainer.

Tennis

Under the Ontario Emergency Order legislation, HRC must follow the Ontario Tennis Association's Return-to-Play guidelines.  We will continue to make updates as restrictions are lifted. 

Casual Play

  • Singles, Doubles, Privates and Small Group Lessons are Permitted.
  • Doubles Play- All players must review and adhere to the OTA How to Play Doubles Safely Guidelines
  • Courts are to be booked in advance on HRConline or by calling the Front Desk at 519-942-2255. 
  • All members are to bring their own sweat towel.
  • There are no benches or chairs. 
  • Indoor court fees will be collected via the method of payment on file in order to reduce contact with staff.
  • No physical contact (high five’s, handshakes, etc.) will be allowed.
  • All players must maintain 6ft social distancing during play.

Lessons

  • Privates, Semi-Privates and Small Group Lessons (up to 4 players) are permitted.
  • Players are to maintain 6ft of social distancing
  • The collection of tennis balls is either done by the Tennis Pro or the player is given a ball tube that is disinfected at the end of each lesson.
  • No spectators are permitted until further notice.
  • Lessons are scheduled with a 15-minute cleaning & disinfecting period between groups.

Ball Machine 

  • Members are to retrieve balls by using the ball tube provided. 
  • Machine, ball tube and the controller will be disinfected before and after each use by a staff member.

Squash

Under the Ontario Emergency Order legislation, the club must follow Squash Ontario's Return-to-Play guidelines.  

Permitted Squash Play  (Effective July 16, 2021) 

  • Singles Play ( no contact unless all players are from the same household) 
  • Solo play 
  • Private and Group Lessons

General Playing Etiquette

  • Players must refrain from touching the walls or floors of the squash court.
  • Courts can be booked in advance online or by calling the Front Desk during operating hours. .
  • Benches and water stations are available.

Indoor Golf

Red Zone Restrictions

  • Please show up no earlier than 5 minutes before your reservation.
  • Complete COVID screening questions at the Front Desk. 
  • Simulators limited to a maximum of 4 golfers/spectators.
  • Players are not able to stay beyond their reservation time.
  • Golfers are asked to remain in their simulator for the duration of their reservation except for using the washrooms. 

Prior to Visit

  • If you are showing any signs of illness, please stay home.
  • If you, or any member of your household has recently returned from travel outside of Canada, or you have been in contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19, you and your household must remain self-quarantined for a minimum of 14 days.
  • Please remain a minimum of 2 meters from anyone while in the facility.

Booking a Tee Time

We will continue to use HRCOnline. Players are also able to call Front Desk at 519-942-2255 for a tee time.  Players who arrive at the Club without a tee-time may not be allowed to golf that day.

  • Bookings can be made 7 days in advance and will be accepted on-line or by phone.
  • All reservations will end 5 minutes prior to the scheduled end time.  This will allow our staff the opportunity to properly clean and sanitize all touchpoints at the simulator.

During Your Visit

  • When entering the facility, please use the sanitizer provided at the Front Desk and wear a mask or face covering until you are checked-in and set up to play on one of our simulators.
  • While performing a physical activity, you are not required to wear a mask or face covering.

Kids Club - Temporary Closed

Kids Club will be temporary closed until further notice.

Other Amenities

LOCKERS

Day-use lockers are available. To ensure cleanliness and physical distancing some day-use lockers have been closed. 

Members are asked to leave the locker open after use and that will indicate to staff cleaning is required.  Closed lockers indicate they are clean and ready for use.

SHOWERS 

Showers are available for use and will be cleaned daily and disinfected twice daily.  Members are required to bring their own towels. 

 

WATER STATIONS 

All water stations throughout the club are available for use. Members are encouraged to bring their own pre-filled water to workout with.

Effective Wednesday, November 18th, all reservations must be cancelled with 12 hours notice online or a $15 cancellation fee per member will be charged to a member's account.

Deep Cleaning
  • The club will go through a full deep clean prior to reopening to members. 
  • A third party cleaning provider will clean & disinfect the club twice daily in addition to HRC staff members' regular high-touch cleaning throughout the club. 
  • All staff members will complete extensive training on cleaning & disinfecting protocols.

Self Cleaning

We all have an important role to play in keeping our club safe for everyone to enjoy. 

  • Additional hand sanitizers are located throughout the club, as well as, our new Oxivir Plus Disinfectant spray bottles (Product is hospital-grade and approved by Health Canada) that will be used to wipe down all equipment and high touch areas.
  • Members must wipe down equipment before and after use.

Enhanced Protocols

To ensure the safety of all members, guests and staff we have implemented enhanced protocols: 

  • HVAC system has gone through an extensive maintenance review with new air filters installed and all system settings updated to ensure the highest level of air quality. 
  • Contact shields have been installed at Front Desk.
  • Mandatory use of PPE, including masks, by all staff, with exception of Group Fitness Instructors while teaching. 
  • Recommended Forms of Payment – Credit, Debit or Charge to Account

Screening Protocol

The following screening protocol will be in place until further notice. 

  • All members will be manually checked-in by Front Desk staff.
  • Upon entry, Members and Staff will be required to answer Health Screening Question
  • Members are required to wear a mask or face covering while in all common areas (e.g. hallways, squash hall, locker rooms). Masks will not be provided. 

FAQ



Effective July 16, 2021, the Club will be moving back to our standard freeze policy. Memberships may be put on hold due to extended illness or injury, long-term travel outside the area (min 1 month), and pregnancy. Students attending post-secondary education out of town may also apply for membership holds. Proof of enrollment is mandatory. Please Note: Holds can not be backdated and a hold fee is applicable to all membership holds and locker fees will still apply during the hold period.

As of November 7th, Guelph- Wellington-Duffering Health Unit was moved to level: Yellow. 

  • Masks are required in all areas of the club and may only be removed when in the act of exercising. (i.e. When in the gym masks must be on when moving between the equipment and in between reps).
